VYPE: What is your favorite memory as a student-athlete at Muskogee High School?
Ross: One of my favorite memories as a student-athlete would be the bond my team shares. We are all truly a family, and no one ever gets left behind. I’ve grown up with most of my teammates, and we all have inside jokes and favorite plays that are special to us. My team always made me feel welcome and loved.
VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school and who is your favorite teacher?
Ross: My favorite class is science, but to be more specific, anatomy & physiology. I love learning about the human body and the way it works. My favorite teacher…well, I have a few. Coach Singler, Mrs. Watson, and Mr. Huddleston have all considerably impacted my school years.
VYPE: What does it mean to you to be a person of good character?
Ross: I take pride in my character; I always find the good in people and situations. My parents taught me that if you stay positive and smile big, you will succeed in life. Making my family proud of who the woman I’ve grown up to be is what I value most. I enjoy going on mission trips with my church and helping my community through volunteer events as well. My coaches and teachers also had a significant impact on my character. Coach hammer, which was my high school volleyball coach, taught me to be confident and break out of my shell. He helped me become the volleyball player I am today.
