If you’re looking for something to do after Christmas, then make plans to take in some exciting high school basketball as the Muskogee Roughers boys host the Battle of the Borders Invitational December 28-30 at Rougher Village.
“I wanted to do something for the community since the demise of the Shrine Tournament,” said Rougher coach Lou Dawkins. “Since we’re so familiar with a lot of the teams in our area I reached out to some teams out of state and am bringing in two top teams from Shreveport and one from Dallas to go along with Central and McClain High Schools out of Tulsa and ourselves.”
The Oklahoma teams will rotate playing the out of state teams during the three days with Muskogee playing the feature game each day. The games will be at 3:00,5:00, and 7:00 pm on Thursday and Friday and 11:00am, 1:00pm, and 3:00pm on Saturday. Admission is $5 for students and $10 for adults each day.
