ROUGHER DUO NAMED ALL STATE-sponsored by Nissan of Muskogee

Two Muskogee High football standouts have been named All-State players by the Oklahoma Coaches Association.

Brayd’n Henry and Vernon Pepiakitah were both members of the Rougher squad that captured the Class 6AII state football championship in December.

While both players could play on either side of the ball, Pepiakitah terrorized opposition offenses as a defensive tackle where he piled up 58 tackles, eight for loss along with seven sacks. Henry played in the heart of the offensive line at the center spot either opening the running lanes or setting up pass protection for Jamarian Ficklin. Papiakitah was named the District 6AII-1 Player of the Year and Henry was honored as the district Offensive Lineman of the Year.

Both will have the opportunity to play one more game of high school football in July at the OCA All-State game.
