With the help of the 14 Oklahoma Coaches Association All Staters pictured here, it was a banner year for Muskogee High Athletics.
It began with the Roughers capturing the Class 6A-2 state football championship in December and continued on through an outstanding performance by the Rougher gals at the state track meet in May. It marked the first time in several years that Muskogee captured the School of the Year honors for athletic excellence awarded by the Muskogee Phoenix among Muskogee-area schools.
