
For the first time in recent memory, the Roughers have a wrestler who has earned a college scholarship as senior Wesley Platt has signed a letter of intent to attend Oklahoma Wesleyan University next year.
Wrestling at 113 pounds, Platt earned first place this year at the Ray Murphy Jr. Tournament at Tulsa Hale, the Morey Villareal Classic at Tulsa Rogers and a second-place finish at the Gary McKee Classic Tournament in Okmulgee.
“Wesley has really embraced his role as a senior leader this year, setting a positive example through his work ethic, attitude and dedication,” said wrestling coach Steve Adair. “His consistency and focus make him a dependable competitor ana a respected presence in the wrestling room.”
