Muskogee has hired Lenny Bert to be the next boys’ basketball coach.
Coach Bert brings a history of success and leadership having served has head coach at Putnam City West from 2010-2024 where he led the team to the state championship in 2016, a state runner-up finish in 2014 and eight straight state tournament appearances from 2013-2020.
Bert was named Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2016 and was the winningest coach in Class 6A from 2013-2023. His players consistently advance to the collegiate level with several continuing on to play professionally.
