“Akira is a skilled guard that can score the ball, great deep range shooter,” said Jeremy Ford.
VYPE Magazine caught up with Akira to learn more about this senior guard and what she loves about being a Muskogee Rougher.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?
Eubanks: I love that we give it our all when we step on the court. And to never give up in the end.
VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school and who is your favorite teacher?
Eubanks: My favorite subject is black history; I love learning about my culture which makes the subject interesting to learn about. The teacher that teaches this subject, is Coach Joe which will be my favorite teacher.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life, on or off the court?
Eubanks: My aunt Jewell has been a huge influence in my life. She has always taught me life lessons and has prepared me to be the young adult I am today, and to never give up on my dreams. She has been there at my lowest times, and she has always lifted me up, and helped make me the person I am today.
