Craig Perry joined Muskogee from Coffeyville Community College. In 12 years as head cross country and track coach, Perry was recognized 12 times as the Region VI Coach of the Year, was 2012 NJCAA Outdoor Track Head Coach of the Year, 2013 Region VI Indoor Women’s Coach of the Year, and 2013 Men’s Coach of the Indoor Region VI Championship Meet.
Coffeyville student-athletes saw incredible success under the leadership of Perry with 415 All-American honorees, 23 individual national championship athletes, four eventual professional athletes including an Olympic medalist, five regional team championships, and four finishes in the top three at NJCAA National Championships. Under his guidance, student-athletes have had success in the classroom maintaining one of the highest graduation rates in the KJCCC while also successfully transferring to future academic and athletic success at four-year colleges and universities.
Perry earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma State University and is a CCC alum having competed in track and cross country for the Red Ravens.
