After qualifying last summer through camp, The Muskogee High Dance Team finished eighth in the nation recently at the National Dance Team Championships at the ESPN World of Sports in Orlando, Florida. The team made it though the preliminary rounds as they competed against 6oo other teams from around the country and got into the final round of competition.
“It was incredible,” said dance coach Kyah Fields. “It’s amazing to think how far we’ve come in just three years when we were a very small, non-competitive team to a point now where we are in the national spotlight and looking to return next year and go further.”
