ROUGHER FOOTBALL HONORED-sponsored by Hamlin’s El Toro Restaurant

Several members of the Muskogee Rougher football team that went to the state championship game this past December have been honored by the Oklahoma Coaches Association by being named to the All-State and/or All-Star football teams for this year.

Quarterback Jamarian Ficklin was named to the All-State team as one of four quarterbacks on the East squad. Ficklin, known to most as “Byrd”, passed for nearly 11,000 yards and 119 touchdowns in his years as the Rougher signal caller and will play football at Utah University next fall.

The All-State football game will be July 31 at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee

Byrd is joined on the Class 6A All-Star team by Rougher teammates running back PJ Wallace and wide receiver Ondraye Beasley
