Several Muskogee Roughers qualified for the state Class 6A track meet with outstanding showings at last weekend’s regional qualifying meet in Owasso.
OBU-bound Diamond Lewis was the regional champ in the 100- and 300-meter hurdles and will be trying to add to the gold medal she won last year in the Class 5A 300-meter hurdles.
Zion Dedmon captured the regional title in the high jump while O’Shea Steveson will compete in the shot put. Adrian Billingsley will represent the Rougher boys in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles along with Edward James in the 300 hurdles. James and Billingsley along with Keanu James and Tim Moore make up the 4X200 and 4X400 relay teams that qualified for state.
The Class 6A state track meet will be this weekend at Western Heights High School.
