3 Questions with Ellie Jimenez of Muskogee High School
VYPE: How important are your academics to you and what are your plans after graduation?
Jimenez: My school work and academics is my main priority. I plan for a bright and successful future, and college is a big factor in my plans. I strive to get into a great college and find a career path.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life? Explain.
Jimenez: My mother is someone who I look up to all the time. She has always worked hard even when I was a little baby. It was a struggle for her to go to college and earn a degree while raising me with little to no help. But she did, for the both of us to provide for our needs.
VYPE: What have you loved most about being a student-athlete at your school?
Jimenez: I love when teachers and coaches hold me accountable. They know I will work hard in whatever I do. If they notice that I don’t give full effort. They give me a second chance because they know I can do better.
